Nokia is working on the Ovi Suite for Mac

Support for Mac was always a question at Nokia, yet with an ever-improving iSync/Multimedia sync, the offering is getting better and better. This is more than almost all of the other manufacturers provide, but for Mac users (including myself) crucial elements (like Nokia PC Mac Suite) were missing from the offering.
I was actually convinced, that with the rise of Ovi online services, focus on Macs will be limited – who needs offline clients, when you have everything online? It seems, that Nokia thinks otherwise.
In a job ad, posted on Nokia’s job site, they are looking for a Macintosh Software Developer.
Position Description:
Join the Nokia development team to help us take our Mac user experience to the next level. This new and exciting initiative will give you a chance to become part of the Ovi development team. [...] As a Software Developer you would work closely with the testing, product and program management teams to build the next generation of Nokia’s Ovi Suite for Mac offering. [...]

Requirements:

· Passionate Mac user.
· Active user of social networking tools such as IM, Facebook, or Twitter is a plus.

[...]

So, the good news: Nokia IS working on the Ovi Suite for Mac.

This is not my cup of tea, but if you are a passionate Mac programmer, please join Nokia and make the Ovi Suite for Mac happen soon! Yours thruthfully, one hopeful Mac and Nokia user

Nokia is making a bad marketing on Ovi. They’re making it available to “everyone” first before making it global. When are they going to start making publicity about it? No one knows Ovi.. :s
